Last weekend was rainy and rather cold for mid July in Western Pennsylvania. With that in mind, I created this one-of-a-kind art pendant. The piece was inspired by large raindrops. You know the kind that are huge and make a huge splat against your wind shield.
Although I am really happy with how it turned out, I can't decide whether or not I should add fringe to the bottom. To fringe or not to fringe, is the question. So what do you think?
The pieces simplicity is exquisite. Fringe would be overkill in my opinion.
ReplyDeleteI think it looks fantastic just the way it is. I vote no fringe.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Marlaine - elegant as is and a fringe would unbalance the piece.

It's a lovely piece Jodi and a great representation of a raindrop. I like it as it is and don't think it needs fringe :0)
ReplyDeleteLOL :)
ReplyDeleteLet me explain why was I laughing...
The pendant is a work of art, that's for sure. I'm giggling because I am facing exactly the same dilemma with one of the contest pieces: to fringe or not to fringe. But I am not allowed to show it to public before the competition starts.
I'd left this one the way it is right now. It is well-ballanced, detailed, with a rich texture and has a good length-width proportion.
I say no fringe.
What a great piece of bead embroidery!

Olga
